Proud husband, father, educator, mentor and entrepreneur perfectly describes the life of Bryson Thompson Sr. With 10+ years of experience as a special educator and mental health professional, Bryson has dedicated his life to finding ways to uplift young men and women. With a degree in Special Education from Clemson University and a Masters in Behavior / Learning Disabilities from Georgia State University, he continually works to find ways to enhance the life and experience of the future generation.

After losing his mother to stomach cancer in 2016, Bryson was able to transform his pain into his first book “How Angels are Made.” Through his book, Bryson highlights the conversation he and his wife had with their 3-year-old son to help him understand what happened with his grandmother. Through his writing, he is focused on bringing awareness of a pressing need to have difficult conversations he and his wife had with their 3-year-old son to help him understand what happened with the passing of his mother. Through his writing, he is focused on bringing awareness of a pressing need to have difficult conversations with our youth to help them through a proper grieving process at the loss of a loved one. With 1 in 5 youth currently having to deal with the death of someone close to them by the time they are 19 years old, “How Angels Are Made” resonates with many families around the world.
